I am a Melbourne based jewellery designer and specialise in handmade custom jewellery. Where possible, I'm passionate about using locally and ethically sourced materials. Hand made in my Melbourne studio this minimal design engagement ring features a one of a kind Australian Parti sapphire.
Platinum is a precious metal with a wonderful silvery white colour. It is very dense, malleable and highly unreactive making it the perfect metal to wear as an engagement and wedding ring.
Australian Parti sapphires are one of my all time favourite gem stones. Parti relates to the word partial meaning they are made up of two or three colours, usually a combination of blues, yellows or greens. No two stones are ever the same. All the parti sapphires I use are locally sourced and cut. The sapphire is a hard stone making it perfect for everyday wear.
Storage: Store your jewellery in the original box or separately from other jewellery and metal items. Remove your jewellery while doing activities like gardening, washing dishes, playing sport or doing other activities that may cause it to be scratched or damaged.
Maintenance: To help keep your gem set ring looking its best, I recommend getting your ring professionally cleaned and checked once a year. Email for an appointment.
Clean at home using warm water and a very soft nylon brush, like a soft tooth brush, as it will not scratch the stone or metal. Avoid using any abrasive cleansers or detergents.
